DVD Update

So I noticed in the K-mart paper today that they had a sale of 3 for 18$ in DVD's. Well I could not pass that up. Now they didn't have any great, GREAT movies but they had some movies that I have been wanting to add to my collection. My main goal was to find O' Brother Where Art Thou? Well I didn't find it so I was pretty bummed about that. First thing that caught my attention was a kick ass version of Unbreakable. Came in a great fold out box which I think we all can agree is freakin awesome. Next I bought Gone In 60 Seconds. I really enjoyed this movie and have been looking for a good price on it. Lastly I had trouble. Since I could not find O' Brother I didn't know where to turn. I bought Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp. I have heard many good things about it so I hope its good.

Note: How about some participation, eh? Ok so me and Tiff have somewhat of a conundrum. Since Piper will be here any day and we are both movie freaks, we have just assumed that Piper will be one too. So my question to you is...What should be her first movie? Now we have been debating on what will be her first. Should it be the old favorites? Like The Lion King or Aladdin? Or the slightly newer Toy Story or maybe the newest Finding Nemo or Ratatouille? What are your opinions on the issue? Feel free to give us your first if you know.

It's The Strangest Thing...

Note: Sixty STOP READING..scroll down to my entry before this one if you didn't read it first.

Ok so we went to the hospital at 11:30 this morning. We spent all day waiting and waiting trying to anticipate when they would call us back. It was going so, SO slow but I knew that once they finally called us back that things would start to snowball and would happen much more quickly. So the reason she needed a C-section is because she was still breached (head up, butt down). The bad part about a C-section is a couple things. First, it leaves a scar, second, its still a surgery, and lastly, its an extra 20 grand to have one.....yea.

Well we waited from 11:30 until about 5 or so and the doctor finally came in. This is finally it right? .....No. He did a final ultrasound to make sure she was still breached and low and behold, she turned. The doctor said it was only the 3rd time in 15 years that a baby had turned within 3 days.

So....they sent us home. Yea, all the stress and agony of waiting and after all that, no baby. No Piper. Well what pissed me off is that I thought they should have given her a ultrasound that morning and then we would not have had to wait all day. Seemed kinda pointless to have had to wait. Anyways. everyone agreed that natural childbirth would be the way to go.

So now we wait, and wait until nature runs its course. So I'm totally deflated. I was so in the zone of expecting that the next time I came home, I would not be alone. But what do ya do? Oh well? So I'll continue to keep ya posted.

So This Is It...

By 4 0'clock tomorrow my life will change forever. 10 months of stress and preparation leads to 5 minutes that it will take for my daughter to take her first breath. I've said before that it has felt like we were playing house for so long, but now that the day is set, the time exact, I find myself spinning in circles. I have struggled today to come to grips with what is about to happen and even though I am so, so happy, I can't help but to feel the fear run over me. Needless to say I won't be blogging for a few days, at least until Monday so please keep checking to see any updates. I'll be staying overnight in the hospital until Sunday and will try to get you guys some info as soon as I can.

Note: I experimented with a music player that I can add some new music to every few days. I seem to be able to add only 10 songs to the playlist which sucks so if anyone knows have to add more please let me know. If the player ends up being more of an annoyance tell me. I do this for you guys.

CD Collection

I figured this may be an interesting read for some, and a long uneventful one for others. Note that these are not even half of my cd's. I had bought all these at least 3 years ago and farther back. I have tons of burned cd's now that has a majority of the rest of my music. Ha also note that there are a few guilty pleasure bands in my collection and also a few that I bought or had gotten as a gift that were a little before my taste changed to what it is now..being rock and metal.

After each cd I put my 3 favorite songs, so If you are interested in a band you have a few songs to check out first.

Note: I apologize for how jumbled this list is, I fucked it up and could not get it organized. I hope you guys can read it ok even though it seems to blur together, so forgive me. Also I could not find the damn default color for the first cd name so that's why it is different.

Note: A * after the band and album are my recommendation to definitely check that band out.

So there they are. Just so you know the cd that I most regret buying is Dragonforce, I really got dragged into their hype and they DO NOT do it for me. The cd that was the most worth my money was honestly Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory. Its not my favorite cd but without buying that cd I would not be listening to what I do now. They are not nearly as hard as what I listen to now but that cd built that bridge that brought the heavy music into my life.

If anyone wants a review on an entire cd let me know. That would be a good change of pace. Let me know.

Updated DVD Collection

So as you may know, Tiffany and I have merged our DVD's and basically have doubled each others collection. Now I have bought a few new movies the last few days and they are in bold. All of Tiffany's movies have a * after them. You will notice a majority of her movies are Fantasy, and the more chick-flick type.

Sorry It's Been Awhile

So my computer is fucked so I dunno when I'll get up each new post. I'm using Tiff's laptop and we are going to trade every few days so I'll take that opportunity to post new blogs.

In DVD news I bought The King Of Kong: A Fist Full Of Quarters. I love that movie. Freakin funny.

In 360 news my friend let me borrow Marvel: Ultimate Alliance so when I learn the game maybe we can all play.

Need Some Advice

Ok so I got suckered into a deal with Columbia House and now I have a contract where I have to get 70 dollars worth of movies. Now thats sounds like alot of dvd's but the prices they have are ridiculous. I ordered one movie and it all added up to over 25 dollars with shipping and everything. I'm agitated but I've trying to make the best of the situation. So my need for advice comes in here... I never really buy DVD's brand new for full price anymore. And now I'm forced to do that so basically what I need from you guys is ideas and recommendations of very good movies that I may not be remembering that will be well worth the money. I'm trying to find good, quality DVD's and I have some in mind but I'd like your opinions on the matter. So.....give me what ya got.

360 Games Update

So my GTA screwed up (thanks Luke) and I ended up getting 2 games today. I bought Gears of War which I have been really wanting and am psyched to finally get it. And I also got Viva Pinata finally as well. Me and Tiff both have a weird, addictive obsession with it, ha.

Note: We went and saw The Dark Knight again, my second time, freakin great movie. A few complaints but Damn it's a fun movie to see in the theaters.

I'll get my updated DVD list up as soon as I can.

Shep, hope the wedding went great. Can't wait to hear about it.
